-Waxing

A layer of hot or cold wax is dubbed on the hairs and a cotton cloth is placed over on the wax and the strips are out together with the hairs.

Ingrown hairs are usually formed by waxing, plucking, threading and epilation. This type of hair starts growing inside the skin when the hairs are broken off beneath the skin. These cause small red swellings on the skin and causes skin irritation and rashes. A hydroxybenzoic acid or salicylic acid solution is used to act as an exfoliant and treat ingrown follicles, while a small sterilized needle is used to takeout the hairs.

-Sugaring

It is very much similar to waxing. A sticky paste is used to substitute the wax and the process of removing the hair is just the same.

Another known enzyme drug is the Vaniga; the active ingredient is Eflornithine hydrochloride, which also inhibits an enzyme called Ornithine decarboxylase, which also stops the new hair cells from growing.
